Twitch Layoffs 400 Employees to Cut Costs

Twitch, an American video live streaming service company is laying off 400 employees. As per the report it is an part of its new update on cost cutting from its parent company Amazon.

In the recent news, Twitch CEO Dan Clancy has posted a blog regarding the latest layoff. Mentioned saying “In order to run our business sustainably, we’ve made the very difficult decision to shrink the size of our workforce.” As a company focused on building community together, this decision was incredibly difficult and one we did not make without considerable thought.

A blog post on Amazon’s site discusses the second round of layoffs this year, following a round in January when more than 18,000 employees were laid off. It consists of comparatively fewer candidates, but is targeted at people working at Amazon Web Services, PXT, Advertising, and, of course, Twitch.
